Responsible Business - Let's take responsibility
Taking responsibility for the environment and local community has been an important part of Rezidor's broader commitment to sustainable development for many years. In 2001, this commitment was fortified and placed within the scope of a programme called Responsible Business (RB). Each hotel has a unique RB Action Plan covering areas such as community outreach, environmental improvement, employee well-being and health and safety. To read more about the RB programme, please go to www.responsiblebusiness.rezidor.com.
Our hotels are engaged with both local charity groups and Rezidor's corporate international charity organisation, the World Childhood Foundation. The mission of Childhood is to defend the rights of the child and to promote better living conditions for vulnerable and exploited children at risk all over the world.
Here are some of the Responsible Business activities and achievements of this hotel:
Beyond The Moon offers to children with a life-threatening disease, aged between 3 and 18 years old, and their families, an all-in cost-free and carefree vacation to holiday destinations appealing to the children's imagination, filled with beautiful and joyful experiences that reach 'beyond the Moon'. http://www.beyondthemoon.org
Our main objectives are:
- to fulfil as many wishes as possible, with a growing number every year
- to generate enough income to be able to fund all those wishes
- to increase awareness and exposure of our organisation
See the tangible results of your contributions very close to home. As a sponsor, no matter in which European country you are based, you can help administer the medicine of joy and invaluable memories to some very special children. You can realise the wish of children with a life-threatening illness, and their families, from your own community or country. Should you wish to join this mission, contact Beyond the Moon - info@beyondthemoon.org

Elegast
The Radisson Blu Park Lane Hotel in Antwerp help the children's home Elegast Conscience. Elegast is a children's home for children who can't live at home, because their parents cannot take care of them anymore. Some of the reasons are alcohol problems, parents who are in prison, etc. To brighten the lives of these children, our hotel helps where and when it can, through projects like bringing a cake at each birthday of the children or collecting clothes for them, as the government has a very small budget available for the children of Elegast. Recently we took notice of the fact that the government cut even further on this budget, with the consequence that the children of Elegast can no longer buy products like sodas, desserts or snacks, since they have to save on all "extra's".
We are shocked that this situation can still exist in a wealthy country like Belgium.
Therefore we ask your help. The granted products will solely be used to the benefit of the children of Elegast.
